Recent blockchain data indicates that transaction volumes on the Tron network are at an all-time high, fueled by significant retail adoption and the increasing appeal of this fast, cost-effective blockchain.
On Tuesday, the number of active addresses on the Tron network surged to a record 5.7 million, surpassing the previous high of 5.4 million set the day before. Additionally, over 12.6 million transactions were recorded on that day, marking the highest volume since June 12, 2023, according to TRONSCAN data.
“No headlines. No hype. Just raw throughput. That’s top-tier activity with zero fanfare,” said blockchain analytics platform Nansen in a post on X on Wednesday.
Nansen’s data reveals a remarkable 69% increase in daily active Tron addresses over the past week, reaching nearly 11.1 million, the most significant weekly change across major blockchains.
USDT on Tron is the preferred choice for many
While Tron’s decentralized finance ecosystem is not as established as Ethereum’s, it handles approximately 15-20 million Tether (USDT) stablecoin transfers weekly, making it one of the most popular token and chain pairings in the crypto sector.
This combination is widely utilized in Africa, Asia, and South America, enabling residents to take advantage of rapid, low-cost US dollar-pegged token transfers in regions with restricted access to actual US dollars.
Tether celebrated its milestone of 500 million USDT users on Oct. 21, an accomplishment its CEO, Paolo Ardoino, deemed “likely the biggest financial inclusion achievement in history.”

USDT stands as the largest stablecoin, boasting a market cap of $183.2 billion and a 58.8% market share, according to CoinGecko. Circle’s USDC follows with a market cap of $76.2 billion.
Ethereum holds the most USDT in circulation at $83.4 billion, whereas Tron ranks second with $78.7 million, according to DefiLlama data.
