Ava Labs, the leading developer firm behind the Avalanche blockchain, announced on Wednesday the appointment of Arielle Pennington as their new senior vice president of growth.
This development comes as Avalanche seeks to foster institutional adoption, which includes significant tokenization initiatives like SkyBridge’s $300 million hedge fund tokenization on AVAX, amid a growing demand for real-world assets.
Before joining Ava Labs, Pennington served as the head of communications at the Solana Foundation since April 2023. There, she played a crucial role in reshaping the ecosystem’s narrative following the FTX collapse, guiding it toward a period of rapid growth characterized by heightened user engagement and cultural enthusiasm.
During her tenure, the network’s native token experienced a remarkable rebound of over 2,500% from its post-FTX lows, sparking a wave of memecoin activity on Solana and attracting a significant influx of new active addresses.
At Ava Labs, Pennington will focus on crafting the Avalanche narrative while enhancing the ecosystem’s growth strategies, including initiatives aimed at real-world asset tokenization, stablecoin infrastructure, and consumer use cases.
“I’m thrilled to join Ava Labs at this pivotal time,” Pennington said. “Avalanche has always been a pioneer, being the first blockchain to place institutions at its core. We’re now witnessing that vision materialize… My aim is to harness and amplify that momentum, positioning Avalanche as the hub for builders, institutions, and everyday users alike.”
