Blockchain networks have struggled with performance issues, often lagging behind traditional financial systems. However, advancements in technology may soon alter that landscape. On September 22, Keeta Network launched its mainnet, making bold assertions about its speed and scalability.
In a stress test conducted in June, the network reported a staggering 11.2 million transactions per second, marking it as the fastest blockchain to date. This speed is 2,500 times that of Solana (SOL), with its throughput reportedly exceeding the combined capacity of Visa, FedNow, and SWIFT.
“The mainnet launch is a significant milestone for Keeta,” declared Ty Schenk, Founder and CEO of Keeta. “I’m immensely proud of our team’s achievements to reach this stage and eager for the world to experience what we’ve created. Keeta is truly the most advanced, scalable L1 globally, and we are ready to demonstrate it.”
Keeta Network aims to transform traditional financial systems
Backed by former Google CEO Eric Schmidt, the network has garnered a total investment of $20 million. Schmidt highlighted the network’s ability to potentially replace existing financial infrastructures, aided by both technical advancements and favorable regulatory conditions.
“Keeta signifies a pivotal advancement in the development of global financial infrastructure,” stated Eric Schmidt, former Google CEO and Keeta investor. “The team has merged technical brilliance with a keen grasp of the regulatory and institutional environment. I am confident in their long-term vision and proud to support a platform capable of fundamentally changing the way value is transferred worldwide.”
