Crypto exchange Binance is collaborating with blockchain data platform Bubblemaps to enhance the insights available to users of its non-custodial Web3 Wallet regarding potential insider trading and token manipulation.
The integration will enable millions of Binance Web3 Wallet users to leverage Bubblemaps’ blockchain data visualization tool, which provides views on token distribution and on-chain wallet clusters, aiming to enhance “layers of transparency” within the Binance experience, as stated in a Wednesday announcement to Cointelegraph.
Binance seeks to assist traders in spotting insider trading activities or other coordinated market behaviors by analyzing token distribution patterns.
“As more traders and activities transition on-chain, the demand for accessible, transparent blockchain data increases. Integrating Bubblemaps with Binance Wallet is part of our commitment to furnish users with clear insights, enabling better-informed trading decisions,” explained Winson Liu, head of Binance Wallet.

Bubblemaps has previously been instrumental in uncovering insider token sales and dubious team wallet activities related to popular celebrity-endorsed memecoins, like the US First Lady Melania Trump’s Melania Meme (MELANIA) token.
On April 7, Bubblemaps disclosed that the team behind the MELANIA token transferred $30 million worth of community funds that were “quietly sold, with no explanation from the team.”

Crypto trading needs more data transparency
The expanding on-chain economy has created a requirement for more transparent blockchain data for crypto traders, noted Nicolas Vaiman, CEO of Bubblemaps, adding:
“This integration marks a significant milestone in our mission to make blockchain transparency accessible to all.”
Bubblemaps converts blockchain data into clear visual clusters, with wallets depicted as bubbles interconnected with other entities based on their transaction history.
Traders utilize the tool to pinpoint potential anomalies, such as elevated token concentration linked to the same entity, which may indicate insider activity.
The partnership occurs five months after Bubblemaps introduced Time Travel, a feature aimed at identifying insider activity linked to the rising number of memecoin scams.
