    • The Shiba Inu DAO ratified the upgrade through a community vote.
    • The community embraced the upgrade as a measure to restore trust.

Shiba Inu Introduces LEASH v2 to Address Supply Issues

Shiba Inu developers have formally declared the launch of LEASH v2. This revamped token aims to resolve significant concerns regarding a recent supply increase that affected community trust. The new implementation emphasizes enhanced security features and transparent governance protocols, supervised by the Shiba Inu DAO.

This initiative follows an unexpected 10% increase in the original LEASH token’s supply, which raised alarms among holders and community participants. The upgrade is designed to ensure a more secure and verifiable framework.

Kaal Dhairya, the lead developer of the Shiba Inu ecosystem, played a crucial role in the technical aspects of LEASH v2. The project was significantly supported by the Shiba Inu DAO, which sanctioned the migration process through its governance framework.

The decision for migration highlights the project’s commitment to decentralized decision-making. Community members participated actively in governance discussions within the DAO, leading to the ultimate resolution regarding the token’s upgrade.

    Improved Security and Governance Structure

LEASH v2 features upgrades in both token architecture and security measures. The new design incorporates rigorous audit controls to prevent unauthorized supply modifications. These solutions directly tackle the issues that sparked the previous controversy.

The token’s supply will be maintained at a pre-rebase snapshot, ensuring stability and predictability for holders. This approach eliminates the vulnerabilities that allowed the earlier supply increase.

The Shiba Inu DAO now exercises direct oversight of the LEASH v2 contract. This governance structure ensures that any future alterations require community approval through an established voting process.

Independent developers within the community have conducted security audits. These evaluations validate the contract’s integrity and confirm that appropriate safeguards are implemented.

Per the announcement, the upgrade exclusively affects the LEASH token within the larger Shiba Inu framework. Other tokens, such as SHIB and BONE, will continue to function under their current conditions without modifications.

The launch has been positively received by community members who appreciate the transparent handling of the previous issues. Many holders perceive the upgrade as essential for regaining trust and confidence.

The introduction of LEASH v2 establishes significant precedents for how decentralized projects can manage technical controversies. The governance model adopted may serve as a framework for other projects facing similar dilemmas.
